16x9 Inc. Shut-eye for Sony HD Viewfinders
16x9 Inc. introduces the Shut Eye, an ingenious new eyecup specifically designed to protect and preserve the LCD viewfinder of many popular Sony HD camcorders.
Pressure Senstive Design
The Shut Eye attaches like a Sony eyecup, fitting firmly over the front of the camera's viewfinder. This easy to use optical accessory employs a unique pressure sensitive design—no iris mechanism is required. Operation is simple and intuitive. In the unit’s central diaphragm are eight tightly segmented silicone triangles. Just placing one's face against the front eyepiece applies enough pressure to open the segments, allowing enough light to pass through for viewing.
Helps Prevent LCD Monitor Burn-out
When the operator moves his (or her) face away, the segments close—effectively blocking unwanted light from reaching and burning out the LCD monitor, and preventing dirt or dust from damaging the viewfinder itself.
Lightweight & Maximum Comfort
Weighing just 1.48 oz. (42 g), and with a length of 54.6mm and a maximum diameter of 74.5mm, the Shut-eye is constructed of soft, durable black silicone. A plush chamois lining covers the front eyepiece for maximum user comfort. The unit interfaces beautifully with Sony’s HDVF C35W, HDVF-C30 color viewfinders and the HDVF-20, HDVF-20A, and new HDVF-200 black and white viewfinders.
