16x9 Inc. Introduces Movcam Universal Base Plate Light Weight Support System

The Movcam Universal Base Plate mounts directly onto the 9” Movcam Universal Mini Dovetail or any other industry standard dovetail. Once combined with the appropriate spacer, the entire system is lightweight and strong. At release, Movcam has prepared 3 spacers that are compatible with the Canon C100/C300/C500, the Sony FS700 and the Sony F5/F55 cameras. Additional spacers are scheduled for production to ensure future compatibility and offer a truly universal solution.
The base of the system features numerous threaded holes to be mounted onto a dovetail or bridge plate. The base system is built ready to secure industry standard 15mm rods with dual locking knobs. Adding the Movcam Rosette Bracket to the Universal Base Plate allows for additional industry standard spacers or handles to be attached directly to the system.
Available from 16x9 Inc., the Movcam Universal Base Plate system will work in harmony with all existing Movcam camera accessories, such as handgrips, wood handgrips, matteboxes, follow focus and battery brackets and converters. All items and accessories are made of high-grade aluminum. The wood handgrip is made of highly polished wood.
